During Friday morning's ‘fishbowl’ discussion activity,
quite a few great ideas were brought up about Connectivism. It was interesting
to hear everyone’s ideas on how they think it will impact students in the classroom.
Connectivism is a good way to open up student’s thoughts and ideas into the
classroom. It allows an atmosphere where others can help strengthen the
learning process and foster our educational growth.
One thing that our group had discussed was having a balance
with technology and face-to-face. We decided that technology is a great way to
carry out ideas—but the face-to-face meetings help facilitate a safe learning
environment. I like how Jeff Utecht said it in our course session, “It’s not about the technology. It’s about
the things the technology allows us to do!” Well said, very well said!
