Redefinition reflection

Our morning session today opened my eyes to how deep we can go with technology in the classroom. I really liked the SAMR levels because it gave me a way to rate the importance of the technology involved in a lesson. I like the fact that I can shoot for a "Redefining" type of lesson when using technology. I would love to have an activity that involves another class in the school, the state, or around the country! The image below described the SAMR model best to me. SAMR Apps DiagramI also enjoyed our "fishbowl" activity. I found myself silent when my group was in the bowl because my classmates had great ideas and I could not find a place to jump in. Once we were on the outside, I could type out my thoughts and contribute. I like this method for the classroom because every student can be involved. The shy/quiet students, ELL students, and any students that does not like to talk in front of the group, can still have a voice through the fish bowl activity.

  1. I love that model! It shows what apps you can use for each level, amazing! I think that I am going to be able to tie this class into all the ELL reflections.
