Our world has a lot of work to do in the realm of understanding when it comes to using the internet. We exist in a world that is in a state of flux with the internet; it is constantly advancing, and yet we have people who still remember what it was like without this technology. I see people talk about new ways to make that connection between people all over the world, and connectivism is just one framework for this understanding. I have no qualms with the idea, as it seems to just be a general idea that restates the trend that we are seeing in the education sphere. The concept of connectivism does not seem that different to me than the Zone of Proximal Development, but on a broader scale. I am interested to see more development of this theory in the coming years.
