Media Socially

No longer does information pass from researcher to professor to publisher to teacher to student. Social media is here and we all have a chance to ride the wave in our classrooms. Having students take technology they are already familiar with and apply it in a way that allows for context and that "relatability" factor that can help engage and connect students better than the regular rigmarole. Make sure you start them off on the right foot. Here is a great link to the do's and don't of social media.

Not only can students benefit social media, but educators too. Why struggle to come up with 180 individual lessons by yourself? Pull instead from other the vast pool of other educators in not just your school, your town, or your state, but from educators across the nation, across the world.

Here is the link where I left a comment for a student. I like this idea of feedback to students, might be a fun approach in my own lessons.
