Constru... Wait...What?

So, what we are saying here is that there is more to this teaching stuff than just imparting my years of wisdom (I have a few...) along with the Math and English they need to know to my students? YES!!! I say again, this is an ever changing world, and we need to challenge our students, not just use text books to regurgitate info to them. We need to walk down the path of learning together with our students. We need to guide them on a path that not only meets the chaos of the common core standards, but be able to connect with our students and help them to learn from that chaos using all aspects of their lives and experiences. We need to let them struggle with problems and situations and guide the students to ways to solve the problems which work best for them. And we need to revisit the solutions that were successful to cement it into their memories, tying these solutions into more than just one subject.

It's going to be a lot of re-working my visions and experiences as a teacher. But I need to ensure I am more student centered for their sake.
