If you're reading this... WE ARE CONNECTED!

Being connected is easier than it has ever been before. I'm not old enough to remember the days where mail was the only way to reach someone, I don't think anyone on here will be. But I remember when Myspace was a new thing,  the days when email was the most efficient way of internet communication, the days where I didn't have a phone constantly in reach. I'm young, but I still flirted with girls by email. I'm only 23 years old, isn't that crazy? Now, I don't think that flirting is the only reason for connectivism, don't get me wrong. In the classroom there is now the ability for every student to work together WITHOUT BARRIERS! I removed the walls of my house when I was a kid, but now students can remove the walls of the schools. Teachers, as I hope to be, have the unique ability to choose HOW students can be connected. As facilitators, we can set up the connected interactions that can help out our students on a deeper relational level. This blog offers that exactly. I can go back and reflect on not only my classmates thoughts, but on past classes as well. This is physical evidence of the basic simplicity of connectivism, the fact that I am participating in it right now. I am so incredibly stoked to utilize this in the classroom.

  1. Parker,

Would you ever consider having your own students blog and reflect on your lessons as well, maybe a weekly reflection of their learning? What they did and didn't like?
