I liked the idea of using Instagram in the classroom, especially if that is what students are using. What if we used pictures alongside words, or dare I say, instead of words. I'm gonna need you to close your mouth , I promise the shock will subside and you'll be able to think rationally again very soon. Until then, just remember, change is necessary, and in this meme-heavy culture of our generation of youth, we need to be using that. Let's use Insta, let's Snap, meme it up. Let's quit being afraid of change and let students take the lead in their learning and forms of communication. They will be more engaged in what they're doing and take ownership over their learning and who knows, maybe we teachers will make the difference we want to.

Misconceptions and Snapping Those Insta-Memes
In two classes recently we've talked about misconceptions in the classroom and how important is it to pick them out. If we don't find the misconceptions and address them, we are doing our students a disservice. They will continue on in their thinking which will affect their future studies. I found this to be true personally for me with math. I misunderstood a basic concept around third and fourth grade and until now, when it was reexplained to me. I had thought I was dumb and incapable of doing math. Technology was not what brought out the misconception I had had for all these years, but technology can be used to bring them out so teachers can address them.

Well said, we can as teachers learn from our students. And if there is an easier way to communicate why don't we. I am actually excited to learn more about technology from my students!
