We are told all the time how bad social media is and yet today we were told to build an account. I understand why, however I am not sure I am all the way in. It is very interesting to me how social media can give us such strong feelings. Like for me often social media is me trying to keep up with the Jones's and this is not a good feeling. Or when you create a post and no one comments even though you feel it was the best post ever. And then on a serious note how kids can be so mean and bully others via social media. This is easier with social media because most of them would never behave this way to someones face. lets just say social media can be emotionally powerful. I enjoyed learning about the blogs and how we can comment on students work all around the world this is RAD. Lastly "visual literacy" we learn more when we are given pictures to associate information with. 10% with just words up to 65% with pictures WOW! This is good to know as a new teacher. We are all visual learners and need to keep this in mind when we have students struggling to learn. This class is so full of information I hope I will be able to retain all of it.
