End of first day reflection

In most classrooms I have been in, it seems that the teacher views technology as a necessary evil. Something that unfortunately has to be included in the classroom, because it's required by the school district, or it helps the life of the teacher be easier but adds very little to the life of the students. At the end of the first day, it became very clear that the life of the student was the one which could have also been easier. Using the different video apps and giving the students other ways to learn from the teacher would have been immensely helpful in the furthering of the education of the students. And some of the tips, like using google maps and all of the tools embedded in them to show how the world really looks, and the way to google to understand different world views and perspectives on various issues. Technology often gets accused of destroying the sense of wonderment that a child has, and that is a real danger. But, it can grow that wonderment of the tools we learned can properly be added into a thriving classroom.
