To Tech or Not To Tech

 How to make a classroom using tech without it being useless. During our instruction, we were shown so many cool things using tech, but it can easily go poorly. If I don't understand the tech or I am just using it to use it, then tech is useless. I think that it is hard to make the decision of when the tech will be useful or not. 

I think that tech should be incorporated and our students need to learn how to use tech, but I also think that it can get in the way of learning as well. It is interesting that students used to be required to take a computer proficiency class, but are not required to now. Because students grew up with tech it is assumed that they know how to use it in an academic setting but that isn't true. Many students do not know how to use excel or how to do specific shortcuts on computers. Therefore, it is important to teach tech but it is hard to know where the line is.
