To Infinity and Google
The classroom is a complex system to relationships. Students are in relationship with each other, the teacher, and their community. As future educators, we are responsible for making the content we bring to students relevant to all three categories. Throughout my time as an MIT student, I am continually more aware of what it takes to be an exceptional teacher and it's daunting.
After learning more about technology in Education , I know I can rely on Google. Google has created a network of integrated systems and platforms which make it possible to fuse student, teacher, and community relationships together. For example, students in 2022 have the ability to consume and produce at the same time. This means that a ten plus minute video will loose their attention because they are only consuming. Students need interactive platforms which allow them to take in information and produce at the same time like what can be done in google docs. Student can all be on one google doc and write notes, insert pictures, or click on links to elevate student learning from one to multidimensional.😎
Google also has a program called google earth. This program allows real-time images of any place in the world and even breaking ground into the solar system. This is an amazing resource because content becomes contextually relevant because students can see the place or thing from any place in the world. To conclude, Google has made incorporating technology into the classroom an easy and streamlined process for building relationships in the classroom.
